Twin Pump Sewage - Foul Water Pumping Station Repair in London

We recently completed the repair of a failed dual foul-water sewage pumping station serving a high-end London house. The twin-pump station supports 10 bedrooms house in north west London, so restoring full operation quickly and safely was a top priority.

The home owners PA approached us for a second opinion after their existing service provider declared the station “end of life” and recommended a full refurbishment.

Upon arrival, our engineers confirmed that one of the pumps had failed and that access to the chamber was extremely restricted. This was handled safely by our Confined Space Trained Engineers, who are fully qualified to work in hazardous, low access environments.

Our team began by carrying out a full chamber clean and de-grease using specialist equipment and chemicals to remove all waste build-up. Once the chamber was clean and safe, we removed the existing internal equipment in preparation for the upgrade.

We installed new pumps, stainless steel guide rails, and lifting chains, along with complete replacement of the internal pipework using heavy duty PVC for long term durability. All four float switches were upgraded to Xylem sewage rated floats to ensure accurate and reliable level control.

Following the refurbishment, the pumping station was left operating better than new—equipped with high quality, proven components designed to provide reliable, low maintenance performance for years to come.
