Packaged Pump Station Servicing and Maintenance

At Southern Pump Services Engineering Limited, we provide not only routine packaged pump station maintenance contracts but also 24hrs emergency breakdown, repair, refurbishment and servicing, we provide this service to both exsisiting packaged pumping stations and other packaged pump station manufacturers equipment.

We can allow for two or four visits per year consisting of one major service and up to three general services, we can also included within the schedule maintenance for additional works to included jetting, degreasing, sump cleaning and tankering your packaged pumping station once a year.

The scheduling of any visits will be arranged at your convenience and completed within the arranged calendar month.

To With upto a 22 point check list is on every major serivce visit and 16 point check on every minor service visit, details can be found below on our packaged pump station maintenance schedule.

Packaged Pump Station - SPSE Major Service

  1. Lift submersible pump(s), clean pump and check pump data plate
  2. Check pump volute for damage
  3. Check impeller for debris and damage unblock if required
  4. Check wear ring(s) for damage
  5. Assess motor / pump bearing condition
  6. Remove oil drain plug and check oil for water ingress (where appropriate)
  7. Refit oil drain plug with new "O" ring refill / replace oil (where appropriate)
  8. Check motor windings for continuity and insulation integrity
  9. Check motor cables for wear and water ingress
  10. Check and clean level control floats / ultrasonic head
  11. Check condition / serviceability of pump lifting system
  12. Check operation of isolation and reflux valves
  13. Check condition of packaged station wet well pipework
  14. Check condition of wet well and valve chamber (where appropriate) including access covers
  15. Check condition / serviceability of pump control panel
  16. Check and adjust all pump controls where necessary
  17. Check and test all safety / alarm facilities
  18. Check earth loop resistance
  19. Clean control panel
  20. Check condition of control panel kiosk (where appropriate)
  21. Clean and remove potential items to cause pump blockages from pump chamber
  22. Jetting, degreasing, sump cleaning and tankering if required (at an additional cost)

 

Check correct operation of packaged pump station and replace any consumable items up to the value of £150.00, e.g. Level control floats, control panel fuses, indicator bulbs etc;
to be invoiced in separately

Record all collected data and report on any areas requiring attention

 

 Packaged Pump Station - SPSE General Service

  1. Visually inspect pumps for correct operation / damage
  2. Assess motor / pump bearing condition
  3. Check motor windings for continuity and insulation integrity
  4. Check motor cables for wear and water ingress
  5. Check level control floats / ultrasonic head
  6. Check condition of pump lifting system
  7. Check operation of isolation and reflux valves
  8. Check condition of wet well pipework
  9. Check condition of wet well and valve chamber (where appropriate)
  10. Check condition / serviceability of pump control panel
  11. Check and adjust all pump controls where necessary
  12. Check and test all safety / alarm facilities
  13. Check earth loop resistance
  14. Check condition of control panel kiosk (where appropriate)
  15. Clean and remove potential items to cause pump blockages from pump chamber
